Procurement Category Manager - plastic, chemical

I am looking for a Category Manager Plastic and Chemical to develop and implement global procurement strategies for specific product categories.

This role involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and driving supply chain innovation.

You will collaborate across innovation, procurement, production, and logistics teams to align with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop global material and supplier strategies
• Lead an international support team.
• Select and manage suppliers, handle complaints, and oversee sample orders
• Conduct contract and price negotiations
• Continuously optimize purchasing processes and identify savings
• Manage procurement and relocation projects
• Minimize procurement risks and ensure stable supply chains

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English
• Experience in strategic sourcing, ideally with complex supplier bases
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Experience in plastic injection molding and tooling is a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally
