MHE Operations Director
The FORTNA On-site MHE Operations Director role serves as the primary point of contact for all escalations at the Distribution Center and leads the DC Management Team through mentoring, staffing, and training initiatives. The Director works closely with the Program Manager to ensure all site contract obligations are met. The Operations Director is also responsible for selecting and managing subcontractors, overseeing site personnel, and ensuring compliance with FORTNA corporate policies, standards, and procedures.
Additionally, the Director reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), system availability, safety, financial performance, utilization, and margin. They ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements and country-specific laws, and uphold FORTNA HR standards. The role also involves managing the proper loading of system drawings, documentation, and training aids in the CMMS, and ensuring all training and documentation meet corporate standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements long-term strategies aligned with the contract, organizational vision, and mission.
  • Designs, optimizes, and implements processes, and manages budgets to achieve goals.
  • Stays updated on developments and initiates improvement proposals for business sustainability.
  • Responsible for budget creation and management, ensuring teams stay within budget for financial health of organization.
  • Produces and manages KPIs and reports to address future needs and provide insights.
  • Advises and reports to LPS EMEA management on contract performance and strategy progress.
  • Manages on-site team activities, improvement projects, and escalations, adjusting as needed to achieve department strategy.
  • Conducts strategic contract negotiations with local customers and manages escalations to resolve major issues.
  • Leads and inspires the team, fostering internal collaboration.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Educational background includes Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Proven experience as a production manager.
  • Familiarity with various engineering procedures and functions.
  • Strong analytical abilities and process-oriented mindset, aiding in tool development.
  • Proficient in managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Precise and skilled in task organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Focused on finding practical solutions when needed.
  • Capable of handling stress and being proactive.
  • Strong understanding of business operations.
  • Fluent in Czech and English; German is a plus.
